Title I Information Page

Title 1 is a federal program that provides extra money and services to schools with a large poverty population. Title 1 status is not based on test scores. Patrons of Title 1 schools have the right to know:

• Whether the teacher meets the state qualifications and licensing criteria for the grades and subjects he or she teachers.

• Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or provisional status because of special circumstances.

• The teacher’s college major, whether the teacher has any advanced degrees, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree.

• Whether paraprofessionals provide services to your child and, if so, their qualifications.

This information is available in the front office. Parents may make an appointment to view these documents or to inquire about the qualifications of those working with their children. The following documents will also be available on the school website and in the front office:

Upass and AYP Reports for 2007-2008 can be accessed as follows: 

     Click the School Performance Reports at the left of the page.  On the next page:

     Step 1: Choose the year, 2007-2008

     Step 2: Choose the district, Provo District

     Step 3: Choose the school, Sunset View School, Provo

     Step 4: Choose the report you wish to view, either U-Pass School Performance Report or No Child Left Behind (AYP) report.

NOTE:  Copies of all of these documents as well as qualifications of the teachers and staff are available in the school office for parents to review.
