Help Us Improve Our Schools!!!

To help improve our schools, Provo City School District is asking for input about parent, student and employee experiences in each of the district’s schools. Parents can either fill out the student survey with their child in mind or help the student complete it on their own. If you have multiple students in one school, please complete a separate survey for each student. While the surveys are voluntary and anonymous, your participation is greatly appreciated.

The Kindness Tree at Sunset View Elementary will visually represent and track acts of kindness in the school.  Students and faculty are invited to write down on paper leaves, provided in each classroom, acts of kindness that they observe or do themselves.  Each week our Kindness Club leaders will gather the leaves from the classrooms and add them to our tree where  it is displayed in one of the main hallways.

Be a Hero Not a Bully

4th Grade had fun learning to be a Hero instead of a Bully!

Hey 4th Grade!!!!!!

Fourth graders nationwide can visit the new Every Kid in a Park website to obtain a pass that provides free access to students and their families to all federally managed lands and waters – including national parks, forests, wildlife refuges and marine sanctuaries. The pass is valid for the 2015-2016 school year and grants free entry for fourth graders and three accompanying adults (or an entire car for drive-in parks) at more than 2,000 federally-managed sites.

Fourth graders can log onto the website at www.everykidinapark.gov and complete a fun educational activity in order to obtain and print their paper pass. Students may also trade in their paper pass for a more durable pass at participating federal sites nationwide. Check it out today!!!!!!!

2014 SAGE Tests

Percent Proficient

2013-14 SAGE Summative average proficiencies shown below reflect a new baseline for Utah's end of level testing. The new SAGE test is different than the previous Criteria Referenced Tests (CRT), and more challenging, and therefore cannot be compared to CRT results from previous years. SAGE tests are adaptive, with questions based on new Utah Core standards, and contain technology-based questions versus all multiple choice.
